A key feature of the software is the automated calculation of your Curtailment Base Load (CBL). This is essential as it retrieves your usual electricity usage, based on the 6 sample day method of similar historical days. For example, if the Load Curtailment assessment day is Monday, the 6 sample days are 6 previous normal production Monday's, excluding public holidays and load shedding days. The average consumption per half hour over those similar days is used during curtailment periods to set a target for the percentage load reduction, according to the stage of load shedding.
